SyncPenguin's connector for Outlook To Do tasks
Sync your Outlook To Do tasks two-way or one-way with other apps and services
How does it work?
What can Outlook To Do tasks be synced with?
Popular real-world use cases
- Two-way sync a Notion task database with Microsoft To Do, so you can plan projects in Notion and check tasks off quickly in To Do.
- Keep two Microsoft To Do lists in different Outlook accounts in sync, such as a shared household list and a personal one, and sync only tasks with a chosen category.
Key features
Two-Way Sync
Tasks created, updated, completed or deleted in Microsoft To Do appear in your other apps, and changes there come back. After the first sync, only new changes are synced.
Steps Included
Checklist steps sync along with each task, including whether each step is checked off.
Due Dates & Reminders
Due dates, reminder times and reminder settings travel with your tasks so you never miss a deadline.
Status & Priority
Importance, status (such as In progress or Waiting on others), categories and completion status stay consistent across your apps.
No-Code Rules
Choose which tasks sync with filters based on importance, category, status or due date. You can also reshape task details with simple rules, without writing any code.
Affordable & Scalable
With SyncPenguin you only pay for changes to your data, regardless of how many tasks you initially have, or will have in the future.

Things to note
- Each connection syncs one Microsoft To Do list that you choose. To sync several lists, add a sync flow for each list.
- Recurring tasks are not synced at this time. One-time tasks sync fully.
- Due dates sync as dates without a time of day, which matches how Microsoft To Do handles due dates. Use the reminder date and time to keep an exact time.
- The first sync (initial merge) brings over open tasks only: tasks with no due date or a due date within the last 6 months. This keeps old and completed tasks from cluttering your other apps. Changes made after that are always synced.
- Notes sync as plain text, so rich text formatting may not carry over.
- Steps are matched by their text. If you rename a step, it is treated as removing the old step and adding a new one.
- Linked resources, such as links to emails or files added by other apps, can be synced to other apps but cannot be created in Microsoft To Do.
- File attachments and the My Day view are not synced.
- Microsoft To Do does not support custom fields, so only the standard task fields listed above are available.
