Things to note

• Google Tasks stores due dates without a specific time, so tasks are synced as all-day tasks on their due date.
• Only top-level tasks are synced. Subtasks stay in Google Tasks and are not copied to other apps.
• Tasks without a title are skipped, because empty tasks usually aren't meaningful in other apps.
• Each connection syncs one Google task list. To sync several lists, simply add more sync flows, one per list.
• Google Tasks does not support custom fields, so you can't sync custom fields. You can still use SyncPenguin rules to combine extra information into the title or notes.
• Links attached to tasks, such as links to Gmail messages or Google Docs, can be synced to other apps but can't be created or changed from the other side.

Can I sync Google Tasks with Microsoft To Do or Outlook?

Yes. SyncPenguin can sync Google Tasks with Outlook To Do Tasks, Microsoft 365 Tasks, and Exchange On-Premises Tasks, either one-way or two-way.

Does the sync work in both directions?

Yes. You can set up a two-way sync where changes in either app are applied to the other, or a one-way sync where one app simply mirrors the other.

Will completed tasks be synced?

Yes. Completion status is synced, so when you check off a task in one app, it is marked as completed in the other. You can also use filters to skip completed tasks if you prefer.

Can I choose which tasks get synced?

Absolutely. SyncPenguin's no-code filters let you sync only the tasks that match your conditions, such as tasks with certain words in the title, tasks with a due date, or tasks that are not yet completed.

Can I sync multiple Google task lists?

Yes. Each sync flow works with one task list, and you can add as many sync flows as you need to cover all your lists.

Will SyncPenguin create duplicate tasks?

No. SyncPenguin tracks which tasks have already been synced and matches them on both sides. When you start a sync, you can choose to merge existing tasks or sync only new changes.

Are due times and subtasks supported?

Google Tasks shares due dates without a time, so tasks sync as all-day tasks. Only top-level tasks are synced. Subtasks remain in Google Tasks.
