Things to note

• The connector syncs Copper People. Leads, opportunities, tasks and activities are not part of this connector.
• Copper stores one address per person, so only one address is synced. When the other app has several, the work address is preferred.
• Copper stores several websites per person, but one website is synced, with the work website preferred.
• Copper requires each email address to belong to only one person. A contact whose email is already used by another Copper person cannot be added twice.
• Contacts are linked to Copper companies by company name only. Other company details, such as the company address or phone, are not synced.
• Currency and Connect custom fields are not currently supported. All other common Copper custom field types can be synced.
• Copper date custom fields hold dates only, so any time-of-day information from other apps is not kept.
• Copper limits how quickly apps can access its data. For very large accounts (around 100,000 people or more), the first sync may take longer and may be done in stages.

Can I sync Copper CRM contacts with Google Contacts?

How do I connect my Copper account?

Enter your Copper API key and the email address of the Copper user it belongs to. API keys are created in Copper's settings, usually by an account admin. No coding or technical setup is required.

Will syncing create duplicate contacts in Copper?

SyncPenguin matches records and keeps track of synced contacts to avoid duplicates. Because Copper requires unique email addresses, existing people are matched reliably during the initial merge.

Can I sync only some of my Copper contacts?

Yes. You can use no-code filters to sync only people with certain tags, contact types, custom field values or any other field. Different rules can be set for each sync direction.

What happens when a contact is deleted in Copper?

Deletions in Copper are detected automatically. Depending on your settings, SyncPenguin can delete the matching contact in your other apps or keep it. You can also add deletion rules for finer control.

Are company names synced with Copper contacts?

Yes. A contact's company is linked to the matching Copper company by name. If no company with that name exists in Copper, SyncPenguin creates it automatically.
